On August 22, 2024, Yadro announced the launch of a joint laboratory with Novosibirsk State University (NSU) specializing in software and systems development on a chip. The new laboratory, opened on the basis of the Faculty of Information Technologies of NSU, will become an important platform for training students and conducting scientific research in the field of modern microelectronics.

According to the press service of the company, the purpose of creating a laboratory is to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the development of systems on a chip, one of the advanced areas of microelectronics. Under the new project, students will be able to participate in educational and research projects, as well as work closely with company engineers and university teachers. Particular attention will be paid to the development and testing of integrated circuits, which are used in various fields - from telecommunications to big data processing.

According to the head of the laboratory, associate professor of the Department of Informatics Systems of NSU Alexander Vlasov, the opening of this laboratory is an important step in the development of educational opportunities of the university. This will give students a unique opportunity to master current knowledge in the field of microelectronics and gain experience in working on real projects. During the classes, students will learn to develop and optimize systems on a chip, which will allow them to become highly qualified specialists in this demanded area.

Evgeny Maksimov, Director for Ecosystem Development and Educational Initiatives at Yadro, noted that the company's cooperation with NSU is aimed at improving the quality of training for the Russian microelectronic industry. The joint work of Yadro experts and university teachers on the educational program will create conditions for intensive practical training, which in the future will increase the level of competence of graduates.[1]
