2025: Launch of the "Transactions" module

The company ESA PRO on August 12, 2025 announced the launch of the Transactions module for its Smart Business Alert (SBA) DRP system. This module is specifically designed for banks retail and aims to automatically detect and stop fraudulent transactions using - and Internetacquiring drop cards (cards used to cash out illegal funds).

Fraudulent schemes with fake online stores, cashing in through droppers and using stolen bank card data inflict multibillion-dollar losses and create reputational risks.

The Transactions SBA module provides round-the-clock automatic monitoring of shadow forums, darknet resources and closed channels, detecting data leaks, schemes for illegal use of payment infrastructure and suspicious real-time activity. It is important to remember that on July 5, 2025, amendments to Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal circulation of funds for payments" came into force: which tightened responsibility for the transfer and use of other people's cards, up to imprisonment for 6 years.

Already at the pilot testing stage, the module demonstrated high efficiency: 412,007 bank cards and 388,630 phone numbers used for transfers through the SBP in fraudulent schemes were found. After filtering the takes, 223,298 unique compromised cards and 185,218 unique phone numbers were identified. The total number of system workings was 524,147 in 2024 and 259,311 in the first half of 2025.

As of August 2024, the service underwent various types of testing in real conditions and, according to the company's plans, was supposed to become available to Russian business in October 2024.
