I-Teco has implemented a project to replace the foreign LIMS class system at Caustic

2024: Move to DES.LIMS.Pro

The enterprise JSC Caustic soda"" completed a project for to import substitution the management system of laboratory information and implementation of domestic development. DES.LIMS.Pro I-Teco reported this on August 23, 2024.

The implementation of the project made it possible to increase the efficiency of product quality and safety management processes at each stage of production.

The previously used solution, first of all, did not meet the requirements for import substitution of critical IT systems. But most importantly, it did not provide the necessary level of automation and efficiency of laboratory measurements, required significant operational costs, and made it difficult to implement digitalization programs for the enterprise. Our goal was to ensure a high level of automation, efficiency and reliability of laboratory measurements based on the domestic software product, said Dmitry Korzhikov, head of the information systems implementation department of Caustic JSC.

Our company has multivendor expertise in the implementation of this class of systems and technological experience in the development of its own solutions. This allowed us to ensure the integration of the implemented Russian LIMS into the current IT landscape and measuring fleet of the enterprise while maintaining the continuity of the current business processes of production and product quality management, noted Evgeny Razzhivin, Head of Quality Control Systems at Inviatech.

The project included the stages of design examination, design and development of documentation, test pilot operation. In 2024, DES.LIMS.Pro was put into commercial operation in two workshops of the enterprise, with the coverage of 1000 samples and 260 test methods per day. Despite the large amounts of data processing, the work was carried out within the approved deadlines, thanks to the ability to scale the load and reconfigure. The further LIMS development program of the enterprise envisages in 2024-2026. replication of the solution based on DES.LIMS.Pro, not captured by the project, the production workshops of the enterprise and opens up new opportunities for improving the processes of product quality and safety management.

The implementation of DES.LIMS.Pro in Caustic ensured not only the solution of current current production tasks, but also the formation of a technological and methodological basis for further improvement of product quality and safety management processes. During the joint implementation, the level of knowledge and experience of key participants in the enterprise quality management process has increased. According to the Customer, as a result of the project implementation, the efficiency of evaluation and decision-making on product quality management and labor productivity of laboratory personnel increased, and as a result, the number of errors and the impact of the human factor significantly decreased.
