History
2024: Change of ownership
The St. Petersburg network of Mega-Auto car dealerships, one of the largest in the region, with an annual revenue of ₽7,5 billion, has officially changed owners. The change in ownership structure occurred in August 2024. Billionaire Dmitry Troitsky, who previously owned a 10% stake in the company, transferred his share to his son, Nikita Troitsky. At the same time, another 5% stake owned by Anton Ageichenko was also transferred to Nikita Troitsky. As a result, he became the owner of a 15% stake in the company.
Dmitry Troitsky previously became the direct owner of a stake in the company, which, according to experts, was caused by the need to simplify business management and refuse to use offshore jurisdictions. In 2023, Troitsky resigned from the shareholders through the Cypriot Hurricane Rock Limited, which allowed him to avoid problems related to taxation and compliance in foreign banks.[1]
2020
Mega-Auto has remained one of the largest car holdings in St. Petersburg for many years, although in recent years the number of car dealerships has tripled. In 2020, the company sold 10 of its 15 dealerships, retaining only five.
