2024: Product Announcement

At the end of August 2024, the Chinese brand Tecno, also presented on the Ossian market, announced the Phantom Ultimate 2 smartphone with a flexible display. The peculiarity of the device is that it can be tripled. At the same time, in an open state, the gadget turns into a full-fledged tablet.

When folded, a 6.48-inch screen is available to the user. Revealing the smartphone, the owner receives a 10-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1620 × 2880 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4:3. The articulated joint is said to withstand more than 300,000 folding cycles. When closed, the thickness of the device is 11 mm. The triple rear camera is designed to minimize weight and thickness without compromising the quality of shooting, and its location at the edge of the case increases the convenience of holding the device.

The triple folding system offers new creative possibilities and use cases for work or entertainment. The smartphone, in particular, supports a semi-open screen position, in which it is convenient to type on a virtual keyboard: in this mode, the gadget turns into an analogue of a compact laptop. In addition, the device can be used in "tent" mode - for example, to automatically translate a real-time conversation between two interlocutors who are opposite each other. The screen can also be used in multitasking split mode, allowing you to watch a movie and simultaneously correspond in the messenger.

The device has TDDI (Touch and Display Driver Integration) technology, which combines a touch controller and a display driver into one chip. This allows you to reduce the thickness of the screen, improve its responsiveness and reduce power consumption. The user interface is specially optimized for the triple display.^[1]
