At the end of August 2024, it became known that the Russian military in the Kherson region began to use unmanned aerial vehicles "Siberia" of a new modification. These combat drones are capable of raising two heavy mines.

According to TASS, referring to information received from the UAV operator with the call sign Tenor, the Siberia drone was developed by domestic specialists. It is made according to the quadcopter scheme with four bearing screws mounted on remote rods. The flight range on one charge of the battery pack reaches 10 km

Combat drone "Siberia"

The drone is capable of carrying two 82 mm mines on board. The device is equipped with a camera with high-quality optics, thanks to which the military can observe the enemy at a distance of up to 30 km. Control is carried out using a controller with a built-in display.

According to Tenor, the fighting during the period of the special operation "moved into a new framework," everything became "more modern and perfect." The Siberia drone is used to strike enemy targets. In particular, a warehouse with ammunition on the right bank of the Dnieper was destroyed.
