At the end of August 2024, the Vertu brand introduced the Signature Cobra Limited Edition mobile phone. This push-button device, released in a limited series, is offered at a price of more than $500 thousand.

The main feature of the novelty is an unusual design - finishing from expensive materials and precious stones. The Signature Cobra Limited Edition was created by the masters of the French jewelry house Frederic Boucheron. The main decorative element of the telephone is the cobra - a symbol of the highest divine and royal wisdom, power and knowledge in ancient Egyptian mythology.

The snake's body is made of 439 pink rubies, and green emeralds are inlaid in the eyes, sparkling when light hits. Near the head of the cobra is a 2.02 carat pear-shaped diamond, and on the body - in the lower right corner of the case - a 1.02 carat round diamond.

Each copy of the phone is assembled manually in Britain. The design includes a total of 388 parts, and the developers compare the internal structure with mechanical wristwatches in accuracy: 25 different types of fasteners are used. The keyboard is made of solid rubies, and its outer side is decorated with precious stones. It is emphasized that it took a team of eight designers four years to carry out all the work. On the back of the case there is a gilded insert with the Vertu logo.

From a technical point of view, Signature Cobra Limited Edition is the most common phone with which you can only make voice calls and exchange SMS. The device does not even have a built-in camera. The series is limited to eight copies. The price of each of them is $504,308 (45,656,872 rubles at the exchange rate as of August 31, 2024).^[1]
