2024: Launch of online broadcast from funeral

In early September 2024, it became known about the launch in Tyumen of a service that allows online broadcasts of funeral ceremonies. This service of the cremation complex will allow relatives and friends to attend the funeral, even if they cannot do it in person.

According to Nashgorod, the online farewell service will become part of the crematorium service and will be a video broadcast of the ceremony. Subsequently, the video will be transferred to the customer, which will ensure the preservation of the memory of farewell to a loved one. The idea of introducing this service arose in response to the needs of people who are not always able to physically attend funerals due to various reasons such as location or health status.

According to the representative of the crematorium Ekaterina Magyarova, the online farewell service will help loved ones to say goodbye to the deceased with dignity, even if they are far away.

People can't always attend a farewell. There can be many reasons for this, from location to health. Nevertheless, loved ones and relatives want to say goodbye to the deceased, so we are ready to implement and provide such a service, "she said.

As the owner of the PKK funeral service Alexei Afanasyev notes, online farewell is not a new phenomenon in the ritual business. High demand for such services was recorded back in 2020 during the pandemic. At a time when many people were forced to stay in hospitals or self-isolation, broadcasts of the funeral through instant messengers became the only opportunity to say goodbye to loved ones.

In addition to the online farewell service, it is planned to introduce a QR code system in the Tyumen crematorium. This system will save the memory of the deceased in digital format.^[1]
