2024: TrueConf Server Implementation

The Unified Institute for Spatial Planning of the Russian Federation has digitalized communications and corporate communications. In accordance with the requirements for communication security and guaranteed availability of implemented IT solutions, remote interaction between employees is carried out on the Russian TrueConf Server VKS platform. TrueConf (Trukonf) announced this on September 5, 2024.

In order to quickly and successfully solve the tasks set, the Institute's employees must closely interact both within the institution and with external organizations - state structures, local governments and other counterparties.

As the Institute grew, the number of projects, employees and, of course, communications between colleagues increased. A significant impact on the digitalization of communication was also made by the pandemic, which entailed the transfer of a large number of employees to a remote mode of operation.

A regularly growing number of meetings and meetings required the introduction of new business processes to achieve high performance. The institution needed a reliable Russian-made VKS tool capable of connecting employees of different departments, as well as external counterparties, to hold a large number of both public online events and closed meetings.

The main requirements of the Institute for the implemented VKS platform were a high level of protection of corporate data, storage of information in the internal circuit, as well as seamless integration with the existing IT infrastructure, including video communication terminals.

As the central element of the VKS infrastructure, the domestic VKS platform TrueConf Server was deployed, which includes a multifunctional video conferencing system and collaboration tools.

TrueConf Server is installed on the Institute's own equipment, all data is stored and processed there - this eliminates the possibility of third-party users accessing conferences, and also guarantees the Institute's specialists complete control over communications.

TrueConf Server is used by the Institute for internal production and workshop meetings, external online meetings, interviews, remote meetings and training webinars. For effective collaboration, client applications are used for all popular platforms and operating systems equipped with a built-in corporate messenger.

In addition, TrueConf Server was integrated with the fleet of VKS terminals and domain services to provide unified authorization, which eliminates the risk of losing previously invested investments in VKS infrastructure.

More than 500 videoconferences are held monthly at the Institute - employees of all structural divisions, as well as the leadership of the Institute, take part in VKS sessions.
