2024: Product Announcement

At the end of August 2024, Zero Zero Robotics announced the HoverAir X1 Pro and HoverAir X1 ProMax folding mini-drones, which are positioned as a flying alternative to action cameras. The peculiarity of the devices is that they are able to fly without human control.

Drones use an on-board sensor system for reliable positioning and traffic planning in any terrain. In addition to following the owner, other modes of operation are available, in particular, hanging and "bird's eye." Drones are made according to the quadcopter scheme. The devices can fly at wind speeds up to 39 km/h and at temperatures up to minus 20 degrees Celsius.

The package includes the Beacon module, which acts as a controller. It is equipped with a 1.78-inch OLED display, and the range of signal exchange with the drone reaches 1 km. Beacon can be secured, for example, on the handlebars of a bicycle or hung on a jacket. Thanks to the built-in microphone, voice control is possible. Drones use signals from Beacon to improve their user visual tracking capabilities: this ensures more accurate operation in difficult lighting conditions or when the subject is obstructed.

The HoverAir X1 Pro supports 60fps 4K video, while the HoverAir X1 ProMax supports 30fps or 120fps 4K 8K. The resolution of photos in both cases reaches 12 million pixels. In automatic mode, drones can move at a speed of 42 km/h with a short increase of up to 60 km/h. The battery charge is enough for 16 minutes in the air. As of the end of August 2024, the HoverAir X1 Pro and HoverAir X1 ProMax are priced at $430 and $630, respectively.[1]
