About the program "10 Strike: Inventory of Computers":

The program allows to carry out inventory of computers in the local area networks, to automatically create the database of accounting of the computers completing them and also the installed operating systems, programs and their licenses. The administrator can check whether there corresponds the number of the installed programs to number of the purchased licenses, to reveal installations of pirate copies and use of illegal keys. Besides, the program helps administrators to control such important information as existence of the set updates and patches of OS, existence of antiviruses on computers and relevance of their bases.

The program allows to prepare practically any report on the available information. At repeated polls of computers the program analyzes the changes which happened after the last collection of information. The administrator can browse the magazine of changes and quickly learn what programs were deleted or set by the user on the computer what new equipment was installed or switched-off what its parameters were changed.

2015: There was a version "10 Strike: Inventory of Pro Computers" 8.0

On November 27, 2015 company 10-Strike Software announced release of the version "10 Strike: Inventory of Pro Computers" 8.0 with expanded SAM functionality (Software Asset Management)^[1].

The program allows the network administrator of the enterprise to create the database for accounting and monitoring of the PC of users and also to regularly update it in the automatic mode. The program scans computers on network and remembers data on component parts, operating systems, the existing programs and the used license keys.

Starting with version 8.0 the program is released in two editions: normal and Pro. The Pro-version allows to carry out in more detail processes of SAM (Software Asset Management) and is focused on work in the large organizations with existence of a set of departments and branches. In it the function of library of the software containing more than 100 thousand names of software products with indication of categories softwares, license types and the prices is implemented. Software library allows to select purchased by software, to plan removal of the paid unlicensed software, to conduct the library of products, to make reports on categories of software and paid products.

2012

10-Strike: Inventory of Computers 5.0

On February 8, 2012, Ulyanovsk, company 10-Strike Software, software developer for management and automation of local networks, announced release of software "10 Strike: Inventory of Computers" 5.0 – the new version of the program for accounting and monitoring of the equipment of computers in Windows networks.

In version 5.0 the architecture of the program was considerably processed, new components for improvement of reliability of its work and increase in convenience of users when using functions of background monitoring of changes on computers of network were entered. In particular, all process of collecting of inventory information from computers of network (poll of the installed equipment and programs) was changed. Now the separate application is responsible for background poll of computers and the notification of the administrator about the detected critical changes and it is not required to hold the main program started. Besides, reliability of poll of computers is considerably increased (as background, and at the request of the user).

For work of the web interface in "10 Strike: Inventory of Computers" 5.0 answers separate service now. Besides, any more it is not required to leave the main program started for remote access of administrators to base of inventory using web browsers. One of new useful features is an opportunity to generate tens of the reports available in the program, via the web interface. Now the administrator can select far off any interesting report (on iron, programs, antiviruses, licenses, etc.), to generate its online and to save in a PDF format.

The status and temperature of hard drives, existence of an empty seat on them are controlled. Computers without updates of OS and the set antiviruses come to light. Having such report with "problem" PCs, it is easier for administrator to keep the park of computers of the enterprise in an order and to avoid problems with loss or leak of important data.

10-Strike: Inventory of Computers 4.0

"10 Strike: Inventory of Computers" 4.0 – the program for accounting of computers in Windows networks. In version 4.0 there was an opportunity far off to browse the database of accounting of computers. In comparison with the previous versions in Inventory of Computers 4.0 there was a web interface allowing the administrator to be connected to the database far off and to browse the available inventory information by means of the browser. Besides, in the new version the feature to browse the register and structure of the file system of remote computers is added. The administrator can quickly browse certain values of the register, check availability of some files and folders on computers of users directly from the workplace.

The new version also allows to import automatically files from clients through FTP and by e-mail to the main program. Such opportunity is useful when using the program on the distributed networks when computers are scattered on branches and direct access on network to them is not possible, but there is a communication channel with a possibility of exchange on FTP or e-mail.
