Sberbank continues to expand the scope of biometric payment technologies. The company is implementing a pilot project in the metro in Nizhny Novgorod, where you can already go through the turnstile just by looking at the camera. Sberbank announced this on September 9, 2024. By the end of 2024, similar projects will be launched in the subways of Samara and Yekaterinburg. The integration of Sberbank solutions with regional fare payment systems takes place according to signed road maps.

The "Payment with a smile" service, which allows you to pay for purchases with one look, is in increasing demand among Russians. The bank has already installed 750 thousand biotermals in retail outlets throughout the country, and by the end of 2024 their number will reach 1 million.

Payment for biometrics is a fast, convenient and safe way to pay for goods and services. We extend this customer experience to the subway as well.
