2024: Launch of production of ion-plasma nitriding plants for strengthening parts for aviation and construction
On September 11, 2024, the government of the Smolensk region announced that Plasmamet, a resident of the Stabna special economic zone, had organized the production of ion-plasma nitriding plants. This equipment is intended for strengthening parts and tools used in the aviation industry, elevator and machine tool construction, construction and other industries.
Plasmamet LLC was registered on August 4, 2023 in the Smolensk region. The director is Vladislav Efremov. The main activity is metal processing and coating. In addition, the company can work in many other areas, including the production of cast iron, steel and ferroalloys, steel pipes, hollow profiles and fittings, steel rods and solid profiles by cold drawing, cold-drawn strip, building metal structures, products and their parts, etc. The enterprise can also conduct scientific research and development in the fields of biotechnology, natural, technical, social and human sciences.
The Plasmamet website notes that ion-plasma nitriding plants can be used to strengthen various products, including critical parts of machines, motors, machines, hydraulics, precision mechanics, transmission mechanisms. Gears and crankshafts reinforced by ion-plasma nitriding are practically not subject to warping.
Ion nitriding allows you to create minimal diffusion layers with high hardness, significantly reducing wear and radically facilitating the design of motors - as a result, the traction ratio of engines and operational reliability increase. In addition, the life-efficiency of the products is increased.[1]
