2024: Product Announcement
In early August 2024, the German robotics manufacturer Neura introduced a humanoid robot assistant to the 4NE-1 's home. The new robot is capable of performing various everyday tasks, such as sorting things, carrying boxes, cutting vegetables and even ironing laundry.
Neura is one of many firms around the world that are working hard to develop humanoid robots that can take on menial homework and industrial tasks. On the official website, Neura said it used a suite of services, models and computing platforms to develop and train next-generation robots. In Nvidia the promotional video, the company even expressed its gratitude to Nvidia for being able to quickly turn the dream of a humanoid robot into a reality with the help of acquired technologies.
According to information published on the company's website, the new robot is 1.8 meters high, which is the average height of a person. At the same time, it weighs about 80 kg and can easily carry loads weighing up to 15 kg. The robot 4NE-1 runs on the company's Neuraverse platform and is capable of speeds up to 1.8 miles per hour (3 km/h). In addition, it is known that the robot has replaceable forearms, which can be changed depending on the specific task.
The company claims that the new robot can easily take on all the tedious tasks of home care while people use the time they have freed up for creativity and entertainment. According to the manufacturer, the robot can be controlled remotely, and in addition, it is capable of training. Given that the video consists of discrete elements and is well edited, it is not yet possible to understand exactly what amount of tasks and in what time frame the robot will be able to perform, but the first data looks promising.[1]
