Education

In 2008 he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov.

In 2023, he received an Executive MBA from Nazarbayev University.

Career

2008

He began his career in 2008 as an IT specialist at Mobile Realty LLP.

2009-2023

From 2009 to 2010, he worked as the chief expert, IT architect at National Information Technologies JSC.

From 2010 to 2014 - manager of information systems/application architect at ENRC Kazakhstan LLP.

From September 2014 to 2016 - TIMWE Software Development Project Manager.

From 2016 to 2023, he held various positions in the IT sector, including Director for Digitalization and Big Data Management (CDO) at Kazakhtelecom JSC.

2024: Appointment as Head of the Digitalization Development Department of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan

In August 2024, Kuat Sandalov was appointed head of the digitalization development department of the presidential administration of Kazakhstan. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Before starting work in the presidential administration of Kazakhstan, Kuat Sandalov served as director for digitalization and big data management of the information technology division of Kazakhtelecom JSC. Former head of Kazakhtelecom Kuanysh Yesekeev was appointed presidential adviser in June 2024.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev divided the department dealing with digitalization in the presidential administration into two parts. Kuat Sandalov began to lead the digitalization department, and the second department - the protection of information resources - was headed by Yerzhan Seitkulov.^[1]
