2024: Entering the Russian market
In September 2024, the Chinese automaker Soueast officially announced its entry into the Russian market. The company plans to offer Russian buyers three crossover models, two of which will be on sale by the end of 2024. As part of its strategy, Soueast intends to set up a network of 80 dealerships across the country and set up a centralized parts warehouse.
According to Auto.ru, the debut models of Soueast in Russia are the flagship crossover of the S09 and the compact SUV S07. Both models are equipped with a seven-seat interior, a gasoline turbo engine and all-wheel drive combined with a classic automatic transmission. These crossovers are aimed at a wide range of buyers, offering comfortable and roomy cars for family use. Detailed specifications, features and prices will be presented closer to the start of sales.
For 2025, Soueast has planned to launch another model on the Russian market - the city crossover S06. This model is already positioned as a compact car designed for urban use.
The name of the Soueast brand is derived from a combination of the English words Soul ("soul") and Ease ("lightness"), which reflects the philosophy of the company. Soueast was founded in 1995 and has been actively targeting international markets in recent years, including the Middle East, South America and Central Asia. Russia became the first European market for the company, which emphasizes the strategic importance of this region for the further development of the brand.
According to Auto.ru, as part of its strategy on the Russian market, Soueast plans to establish not only car sales, but also the provision of a wide range of accessories and spare parts through its own dealer network.[1]
