2024: The transition of farms under the control of the GAP "Resource"

Farms of the Samara Broiler group of companies came under control GAP "Resource" due to a debt of ₽7 billion. The decision to transfer the assets was approved by the Arbitration Court Tatarstan in September 2024, after which the largest assets of Samara Broiler, including poultry farms and feed mills, began to be managed by the new owner.

According to Vedomosti, the financial difficulties of enterprises began back in 2019. Creditors, including Rosselkhozbank and Sberbank, initiated bankruptcy proceedings in connection with the debts of the holding companies. In 2021, the rights to these debts were bought by the Tokarevskaya poultry farm, which is part of the Resource CAP, one of the largest agro-industrial companies in Russia. GAP "Resource" acquired the rights to claim the debts of three enterprises of the holding - Timashevskaya poultry farm, "Tribal product" and "Reproductive," which allowed it to become the main creditor and control the debt settlement process.

Samara Broiler farms came under the control of the Resource CAP due to debts of 7 billion rubles

The financial situation of Samara Broiler has deteriorated significantly since the start of bankruptcy processes. In 2023, the Timashevskaya poultry farm, which produced chilled chicken meat under the Samara Broiler brand, reduced its net loss to ₽763,7 million. The factory's capacity is designed to produce 140 thousand tons of meat products per year, however, due to debts and financial problems, production faced difficulties. The Plemreproduct poultry farm, which owns egg production enterprises and a meat processing plant, as well as the Reproduction feed mill in Bugulma, also experienced significant losses, but due to the concession of debt obligations, their operating activities can be restored.

According to Oleg Permyakov, partner of Rustam Kurmaev and Partners, GAP Resource accumulated the bulk of the debts of Samara Broiler enterprises. This prevented the further process of bankruptcy and stabilized the operation of production facilities.[1]
