2024: Product Announcement

In September 2024, the Orthodox messenger "Zosima" was announced. The project is designed to communicate with believers, exchange prayer requests and support, as well as provide clergy with tools to interact with parishioners. The new messenger will be available on the main mobile platforms, which will allow users to quickly communicate with churches and abbots.

According to RBC, the Zosima messenger was developed by the Innotech XXI Foundation as part of the Save and Preserve project aimed at restoring churches in the Yaroslavl Region. The application will allow parishioners not only to receive information about nearby churches, but also to find like-minded people for communication and support. Believers will be able to subscribe to temple channels, exchange things and advice, and clergy will be able to quickly collect donations for the needs of churches and accept urgent prayer requests.

messenger "Zosima"

Alexey Agapov, President of the Innotech XXI Foundation, explained that the messenger will work by analogy with popular communication services such as WhatsApp (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). The name "Zosima" was chosen in honor of St. Zosima, hegumen of the Solovetsky Monastery, known for his spiritual activities and exploits.

The messenger will also become a convenient tool for priests who can create thematic groups for communicating with parishioners, send out news about events, hold fees for the needs of churches and accept prayer requests. An important function of the application will be the creation of channels of temples and communities where believers can share their faith, find support and exchange useful information.[1]
