2024: Tsentrmossnab bought Volgacemmash

A large machine-building enterprise Volgatsemmash JSC, located in Togliatti, was sold at a bankruptcy auction for ₽6,4 billion. This became known in early October 2024. The buyer was the Moscow Region JSC Tsentrmossnab, which acquired the assets of the bankrupt plant.

According to Oboz.info, Centrmossnab JSC was created in 2013 by separating from Moscow Industrial Company JSC (MPK JSC). The company is registered in Balashikha.

The head of Tsentrmossnab is Igor Rzyanin, who is also a member of the board of directors of 9 SPMZ JSC, a project of Metallservice in Samara.

Volgotsemmash JSC, once the flagship of the Togliatti industry, specializing in the production of equipment for the cement industry, was declared bankrupt in September 2023. The main creditor was Metallservice-Moscow LLC, which is part of the Metallservice holding, with claims exceeding ten billion rubles.

According to Oboz.info, in July 2024, a meeting of creditors of Volgotsemmash JSC decided to create a new non-public joint-stock company Volgatsemmash on the basis of the enterprise's assets. Property worth five billion rubles was transferred to it.

The proceeds from the sale of Volgacemmash will be used to pay off the claims of creditors, mainly Metallservice-Moscow LLC.

It is noteworthy that this is the second purchase of Tsentrmossnab in Togliatti. In 2023, the company acquired Technik Park LLC, which is currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings at the initiative of Volgotsemmash JSC.

Volgacemmash has a rich history that began in 1956. Over the years of its existence, the plant has become the largest manufacturer of equipment for the cement industry in the USSR. The company supplied its products not only throughout the Soviet Union, but also abroad, including countries of Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.[1]
