2024: Completion of lithium battery plant for small electric vehicles
In the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolice Moscow"" at the Pechatniki site, the construction of a new enterprise for the production of lithium batteries for small electric vehicles has been completed. This became known in October 2024. Investments in the project amounted to more than ₽100 million. The plant, built by NPK Simba, will produce batteries for electric bicycles scooters and gyro scooters.
According to the official portal of the mayor and the government of Moscow, the area of the new production is 1.1 thousand square meters. meters. The project is planned to be implemented in two stages, with the completion of the latter in the IV quarter of 2028. By this time, the production capacity of the enterprise will reach 125 thousand batteries per year.
The Minister of the Moscow Government, the head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Anatoly Garbuzov noted that the first stage of production with an annual production volume of up to 60 thousand units of products is planned to begin in 2024. As part of the project, it is planned to create about 20 jobs.
Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ, said that the company has already completed all construction and installation work and received the status of a subject of a free customs zone. This is one of the preferences of SEZ residents, which allows you to save on customs duties.
Andrey Kabashenko, General Director of NPK Simba, stressed that the choice of the Moscow Technopolice SEZ as a production site is due to a number of advantages. Among them are modern infrastructure, high transport accessibility, contributing to lower logistics costs, as well as an extensive package of government support measures.
The status of a SEZ resident will allow the company to avoid paying property, transport and land taxes, and the income tax rate will be only 2%. In addition, the company will be able to create cooperation chains both within the cluster and with the participation of other SEZ companies.[1]
