2024: Entering the Russian market
In early October 2024, it became known that the Chinese manufacturer of vehicles Asiastar entered the Russian market. In particular, Asiastar Eurise minibuses, as well as Asiastar X9-City EV Star passenger city electric buses, have become available in the Russian Federation.
The operation of Asiastar X9-City EV Star electric machines began in St. Petersburg. The bus has a range of up to 350 kilometers. The interior of the vehicle can accommodate up to 83 people. The electric bus is equipped with multimedia information systems, USB connectors for charging gadgets, as well as air conditioning and heating systems. The machine received a body developed completely from zero, optimized for an electric power plant and existing on-board equipment.
In turn, Asiastar Eurise minibuses are offered in two cabin configurations - for 18 + 1 or 19 + 1 seat. The car received a 2.8-liter Weichai turbodiesel engine with 156 horsepower with a torque of 412 N·m. This unit is paired with the Zomax 6-speed manual gearbox. Vehicles have a flat floor without catwalks, a high ceiling, individual chairs with high backs, air conditioning and convector heating paired with an autonomous heater. There's an LCD monitor, carry-on shelves and dedicated suitcase space. The package includes a leaning-sliding door with an electric drive and a large glazing area. The price of cars is 10,990,000 rubles.
It is noted that the general dealer of Asiastar Russia in is Leader Truck and Bass LLC. The Asiastar bus assembly facility is located in, in China Yangzhou City. Significant investment in manufacturing was made by the Weichai Group, a Chinese state holding group.[1]
