In Russia, from November 1, 2024, the State Information System (GIS) for electronic confirmation of the status of participants in a special military operation (SVO) will begin to function. The platform will work on the basis of the Military Social Center of the Ministry of Defense and will allow military personnel, as well as their families, to promptly receive certificates of a single sample in electronic or paper format. This was reported on October 10, 2024 in the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

According to Interfax, the new service is aimed at simplifying the procedure for confirming the status of participants in the SVO and issuing appropriate benefits and social benefits. Thanks to the introduction of the system, all categories of military personnel, including volunteers and employees of other law enforcement agencies, will be able to use the service throughout Russia. Earlier, the government decided to introduce a single sample document, which will be used to confirm participation in the SVO at all levels.

According to the ministry, changes to the status confirmation system were introduced at the initiative of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. The new procedure provides for the "seamless" registration of social support measures, which eliminates the need for personal provision of a large amount of documents. For the first time, the system will be integrated with the Public services portal and is available for information through multifunctional centers (MPSC). The department stressed that this will speed up the process of obtaining benefits and reduce the time for obtaining the necessary documents.

For military personnel and their families, from November 1, 2024, it will be possible to confirm the status of a participant in the SVO and receive a certificate for Public services"" or in the near future. MPSC Relatives of military personnel participating in the special operation will also be able to use this service, subject to confirmation of kinship. According to the Ministry of Defense, the document of a single sample will be the main confirmation for the registration of various support measures established by both federal and regional authorities.^[1]
