2024: Entering the Russian market

In mid-October 2024, the automaker Oting announced the launch of the Palasso SUV on the Russian market. This is, as stated, "the first car with a body like a pickup hardtop, officially sold in Russia."

The machine is equipped with a monocuse. Outwardly, the car resembles a traditional pickup truck with kung over a cargo platform. At the same time, it is impossible to dismantle kung from Oting Palasso - it is part of the design. The rear wings are all-stamped with the sides of the cargo compartment, and the steel roof is made end-to-end with the cabin.

The new SUV is based on the Nissan Navara pickup truck. Under the hood of the Oting Palasso is a two-liter Mitsubishi 4K31TD engine, providing 218 horsepower and 360 N·m of torque. The motor works in tandem with the eight-band ZF automatic. The car received four-wheel drive with downshift and differential locks. The declared fuel consumption is 8.7 liters per 100 km of track.

The Oting Palasso has a length of 5277 mm, a width of 1864 mm and a height of 1989 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3150 mm. The volume of the cargo compartment is 2150 liters. It is claimed that the novelty will be an ideal choice for hunters and fishermen, as well as for large corporate customers who need transport capable of working in difficult road conditions and delivering large cargo.

This car of its kind is unique, as it appeared with the aim of combining the benefits in the utilitarianism of classic pickups with the practicality of a classic SUV after the ban on pickups entering the center of large cities. The SUV is based on Nissan Navara with Japanese character and technology, "says Ji Ziyuan, head of the Sinomach Auto branch in Russia, Hyperion Leasing (Tianjin).

In the future, Oting will present in Russia a large-sized SUV and a compact crossover.[1]
