2024: Opening of the medical building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for ₽1,35 billion

In October 2024, the grand opening of the updated medical building and the economic unit of the hospital of the GUMVD of Russia in the Voronezh region after a large-scale reconstruction took place in Voronezh. The total cost of work amounted to ₽1,35 billion.

According to TASS, the reconstruction, which began in August 2021, made it possible to significantly expand the area of ​ ​ buildings - up to 22.8 thousand square meters. m. As a result of the modernization, the maximum design capacity of the treatment building increased to 240 beds, and the treatment and diagnostic building is now able to receive up to 400 visitors per day.

As part of the project, new infrastructure facilities were built: a microbiological laboratory, a checkpoint, garage boxes with a maintenance point and a wash. ₽126 million were allocated for the purchase of modern medical and technological equipment.

Particular attention is paid to the medical rehabilitation department, which has been equipped with advanced equipment, including an exoskeleton, simulators for restoring walking and balance skills, robotic mechanotherapy complexes and virtual reality systems for patients with motor and cognitive disabilities.

The Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev noted that the updated medical complex opens a new page in its history, providing improved conditions for the stay of patients and the work of doctors.

More than 25 thousand people will receive medical care in the hospital, including employees, employees, civil servants and pensioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSINthe FSIN Service, the StState Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, military personnel and employees of the Russian Guard, as well as cadets of the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Comfortable conditions for the rehabilitation and rest of patients have been created on the territory of the hospital: a health trail, recreation areas, a gym have been equipped, a fountain has been installed and flower beds have been broken.[1]
