2024: The volume of investments in the project was disclosed - ₽6,4 billion

On October 21, 2024, a project was presented in Yekaterinburg to create an intersectoral educational and production cluster of a technical profile, which should become the largest college in the Ural Federal District. The total investment in the project will amount to ₽6,4 billion, of which ₽4,4 billion is planned to be allocated for repair work.

The project provides for the unification of three educational institutions: the Ural Polytechnic College, the Automobile and Road College and the Yekaterinburg College of Transport Construction. Large-scale modernization will begin with the CPC, which will become the flagship structure of the new educational complex.

A cluster of technical education for ₽6,4 billion will be built in the Sverdlovsk region

Lyudmila Babushkina, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region, presented the project to the Federation Council, pointing out its strategic importance for the region. After combining and modernizing the infrastructure, the cluster will be able to increase the annual output of specialists from 6 thousand to 8 thousand people.

The implementation of the project is designed to solve the problem of a shortage of qualified personnel at industrial enterprises in the region. The ideological inspirer of the project is the director of the Ural Polytechnic College Vyacheslav Moskovkin.

Lilia Gumerova, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, noted that in order to receive federal funding, the Ural Polytechnic College must first enter the federal project "Professionalism." After that, the institution will be able to participate in the overhaul program.

The project received preliminary approval from the Federation Council and was sent for revision. If successfully included in the federal project "Professionalism," financing for repair work may begin in 2025.[1]
