2024: Russian student sent to colony for sharing intimate photos with 9-year-old boy on WhatsApp

On October 23, 2024, it became known that the Belebeevsky City Court in Bashkiria sentenced a Russian student to six years in prison, who exchanged intimate photos with a nine-year-old boy. Popular messengers, in particular, WhatsApp, were used to communicate.

Reportedly, the defendant in the case, 19-year-old Alina, came to visit her mother at the weekend in Priyutovo (an urban-type settlement in the Belebeevsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan of Russia). There, her younger brother introduced her to his nine-year-old friend. The girl exchanged contacts with the child, after which communication began between them.

It is said that Alina constantly told the boy about how she drinks alcohol. There was profanity in the dialogues between them. Later, the girl began to send her nude photos to the student. In response, the boy sent Alina similar pictures. Subsequently, it turned out that the student and the third grader met several times. Communication was interrupted when the correspondence was discovered by the boy's parents, who wrote a statement to the police.

An 18-year-old student from the village of Priyutovo exchanged intimate photos with a schoolboy. Nude-style correspondence was discovered by the boy's mother and wrote a statement to the police against the girl, RIA Novosti reports.

Law enforcement agencies reported that a criminal case was opened against the student on violent acts of a sexual nature. The Belebeyevsky City Court sentenced the girl to six years in prison and one year in prison. The boy's mother stated that she was "very sorry for the girl." As noted, the student challenged the decision - the appeal court will deal with the further consideration of the case.^[1]
