2024: Almost ₽550 million pledged for the development of the FSB IT system

The federal budget will allocate almost ₽550 million to maintain and modernize the system of providing public services and interdepartmental interaction FSB Russia from 2021 to 2030. This became known in November 2024 from the federal project "Digital Public Administration."

According to CNews, taking into account the previously spent ₽49,8 million in 2020, the total amount of funding for digitalization of the department will reach ₽549,3 million, of which ₽249,5 million is planned to be mastered by the end of 2024.

FSB pledged almost ₽550 million for the development of the IT system

The modernization program includes annual development work to improve the electronic interaction system, the development of new types of information and the modernization of the software part of the FSB system.

In 2023, the program developed special software "Hive-23," designed to ensure interdepartmental interaction. The plan of further work provides for integration with state automated systems and refinement of technological processes.

The amount of funding for digitalization of the FSB is significantly inferior to similar programs of other law enforcement agencies. For comparison, ₽75,75 billion were allocated for the development of information systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs until 2030, ₽5,26 billion from the Russian Guard, and ₽10,47 billion from the FSO.

Within the framework of the national program "Digital Economy," the implementation of the federal project will continue until the end of 2024, after which the initiative will be integrated into the new national program "Data Economics."

The funding is aimed at providing access to state information systems, developing targeted interaction solutions and upgrading client and server software.

Budget funds will also be used to refine existing types of information and create additional channels of interdepartmental electronic interaction in the FSB system of Russia.[1]
