The administration of the Ulyanovsk region provides medical institutions with data networks

The telecom operator VolgaTelecom performed construction of VPN network within the "Improvement of Delivery of Health Care at Road Accident" program.

Solution

Within the project the operator constructed the VPN network integrating health facilities of the city of Ulyanovsk and the district centers of the Ulyanovsk region. Implementation of this project will allow the medical institutions integrated by VPN network among other to use in work such service as telemedicine.

Implementation

The corporate network on fiber lines of communication connects the traumatic center of the first level located in Ulyanovsk and the centers of the help to victims in road accident of the third level in the Nikolaev, Novospassky and Terengulsky districts of the Ulyanovsk region to speed of communication up to 100 Mbps.

In December, 2010 opening of a regional travmocentre of the first level which is multi-profile medical institution where medical and diagnostic actions with any severity of an injury are executed took place. In a new travmocentre telemedicine which will provide approach of highly skilled and specialized medical care to any remote locality and will allow to render consultations in real time to victims in accidents on roads will be used.
