SpaceWeb completes move to new data center

2024: Relocation

SpaceWeb completed the move to the Data Center "Data Center No. 1." He began the move in July 2024, when the last data center announced the upcoming development of the territory. The company announced this on November 22, 2024.

The engineering infrastructure of the data center with an area of ​ ​ 2000 square meters corresponds to the Tier III level, and thanks to the power supply according to the N + 1 scheme, the uninterrupted operation of all systems 365 days a year is carried out. The large data center capacity compared to the previous one will also meet SpaceWeb's growing need for the number of racks involved.

SpaceWeb has moved four times in the last 15 years. We are always looking for a more technological and relevant site. We have planned a long move so that our customers do not experience disruption. To do this, we transported the equipment in parts, so as to migrate customer data from the old data center to the new one. Thanks to this, the move for customers happened with minimal downtime, and in some cases remained generally invisible, - said Alexey Shashkin, commercial director of SpaceWeb.

This data center provides conditions for connecting various telecom operators and Internet providers. This will enable SpaceWeb to integrate its networks into the data center infrastructure, giving customers greater flexibility, performance, and connectivity reliability.
