PK Transport Systems fulfilled the contract for the supply of low-floor trams to Volgograd

2024: Delivery of low-floor trams

"PC Transport Systems" ("PC TS") completed the supply of low-floor trams for Volgograd. The company announced this on November 26, 2024. In total, the hero city received 62 cars. Some of them already work both on ordinary lines and on the light rail line - the metrotram. Trams arrived in Volgograd exactly on the date specified in the contracts.

As part of the rolling stock renewal, Volgograd received 50 single-section trams of the 71-911YeM "Lion" model and 12 three-section trams of the 71-932 "Nevsky" model. At the same time, the Lion Cubs trams can operate according to the system of many units (CME). The coupling device of its own design "PC Transport Systems" will allow the pair to use two low-floor cars during periods of increased passenger traffic.

Tram 71-932 "Nevsky" is a three-section model of 2023, designed to work on routes without turning rings. Thanks to the presence of two cabins and doors on both sides, the tram is able to operate in shuttle mode. Nevsky has 54 comfortable seats, in total it can accommodate up to 205 passengers. Tram 71-911YeM "Lion" is one of the most popular products of "PC Transport Systems," which is operated in many Russian cities. This single-section car can transfer up to 161 people, seats - 40.

Everything has been done in the cabin of the Nevsky and Lion Cubs trams to create a comfortable atmosphere for the trip: the climate control system maintains normal temperatures both in the heat and cold, gadgets can be recharged using USB sockets, and multimedia information panels will tell you the latest information about the route. Thanks to the low floor and storage areas, trams can be used by low-mobility passengers, as well as passengers with strollers and bicycles. The use of aluminum alloys in interior finishes reduces fire risks, since aluminum, unlike plastic, is not combustible.

All trams are equipped with the ALS-ARS system - automatic locomotive signaling with speed control function. This system, mandatory for all new subway cars in Russia, monitors the speed of movement and ensures that the path is free. When the permissible speed is exceeded, the system automatically activates braking, taking into account the braking distance and the speed of the train ahead.

Trams "Nevsky" and "Lion" have a high level of localization - 95% of the components are produced in Russia.
