2024: Migration of EDO to Linux
Gazprom Invest has transferred EDO capabilities to Linux. The company has previously used Diadoc connectors to integrate the service with its accounting system, but within the framework of the import substitution project, it transferred EDO capabilities to Red OS. SKB Kontur announced this on November 27, 2024.
Gazprom Invest LLC is a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom PJSC. It is a single technical customer for the implementation of investment projects of PJSC Gazprom. The company unites specialized contractors into a single construction complex, ensures interaction along the entire project implementation chain - from geological exploration and design to construction and commissioning of facilities. As of November 2024, under the management of Gazprom Invest, more than 1000 investment projects in the field of industrial and civil construction are being implemented in 64 regions of Russia, over which more than 150 thousand people are working.
To effectively interact with its counterparties, of which there are more than 600, Gazprom Invest has established work on EDO. Up to 100 thousand documents pass through the company per month. Among them are PDA, invoices, agent reports, contract documents and specifications, reconciliation certificates, invoices, equipment certificates and other documents.
Since 2021, Gazprom Invest has used connectors running on foreign software to integrate the Kontur.Diadok service with an accounting system based on 1C. As part of a project to import substitution and improve the security of the server infrastructure, in 2023 the company began to transfer its servers to Linux (RedOS).
{{quote 'author=said Ilya Lezhoev, Chief Specialist of the IT Services Implementation Department of the Digital Technology Development Department of Gazprom Invest LLC. | The connector is a cloud solution that integrates the Kontur.Diadok with the accounting system without interfering with its configuration. It is enough to upload the document from the accounting system to a folder on the server, the connector service will send it to the Internet through communication channels encrypted in accordance with GOST, where the document will remain to be signed and sent to the counterparty. In addition to the functions of sending and archiving documents, Gazprom Invest also implements the function of automatic routing of outgoing and incoming documents. This is a process in which a document can be submitted for approval or signing to a specific department. Employees only see documents they have access to,}}
The company began working with Contour in 2021, introducing three types of connectors: Unloading, Delivery and Business Process. And in 2023 she switched to developing a solution for Linux. The complexity of the task was formulated at the stage of its production: it was necessary to transfer all functionality to another operating system, with which the Diadoc team had not worked before.
After the release of the distribution kit and detailed instructions, the process of revision began. As a result, it was possible to reproduce all the capabilities of the service on a different operating system - now the solution is available on both platforms. Not only on RedOS or Astra Linux, but also on any other system with a similar kernel. The introduction of connectors on Linux takes as long as before - a typical project takes about a month.
