The consulting company Columbus IT started the project on implementing solution on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform in Shyoller Ayskrem company, the affiliated enterprise "Nestlé Russia" which is engaged in trade in ice cream, cakes and semi-finished products from the test. Upon termination of a key stage of the project processes of management of finance, a warehouse, sales and purchases will be automated.

In the middle of 2006 in the company the new directions of business, including mobile trade, direct sales of products and delivery were let into retail network. It promoted sharp increase in document flow with which former IT infrastructure ceased to cope.

The existing earlier information environment was constructed based on three systems and focused on conducting accounting and tax accounting and support of mobile trade. For partial automation of other divisions, such as warehouse, sales and call center, separate office applications were used. Such structure required repeated duplication of information, led to emergence of errors and discrepancies and also did not allow to obtain managerial data quickly.

The single system of management allowing to control all key business processes in the field of management of finance, a warehouse, sales and logistics was required for the company.

For the choice of a new information system and its supplier the closed tender was held. In the final there were two information systems - Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics NAV. A final choice was made for benefit of Dynamics NAV because of its reasonable price, a user-friendly interface and compliance of its functionality to the main requirements of the customer.

The project started on December 20, 2006. At the first stage calculated on three months the main functionality of the ERP system will be implemented: financial and warehouse modules, sales management and purchases. In addition, within the first stage integration with three third-party systems – for management of mobile trade, fixed asset accounting and the salary and the system of Client-Bank will be carried out. The termination of this stage is planned for March 15, 2007.

The second stage will be directed to automation of accounting, tax and management accounting and the reporting.

The analysis phase and design is at the moment complete, the project is in a stage of completions of basic functionality. Upon completion of the project it is going to automate 12 jobs in all main divisions of the company.
