2024: Smart Assistant Implementation
Eksmo Publishing House integrated intelligent assistant based on. generative artificial intelligence Metamentor AI assists EKSMO editors in the initial evaluation of manuscripts at the stage of selecting books for publication, as well as in preparing a technical assignment for art editors to develop book covers and promotion specialists. Metamentor announced this on November 27, 2024.
Metamentor's generative AI, unlike public services, is built on its own algorithms and is capable of working with documents in different languages, as well as with texts, images and diagrams. The service evaluates the primary text by several parameters - analyzes the syntactic complexity of each work, the variety of vocabulary and terms, recognizes fragments of text that require adjustment, exclusion or special age marking in accordance with the legislation in force in the country.
In the first 4 months, Metamentor optimized the cost of reviewing in the publishing house by more than 5 times. In addition, the time for analyzing the text was significantly reduced: the AI assistant copes with it in 20 minutes, while the reviewer reads the manuscript for about one month. As a result, the editor receives a summary of the manuscript as a whole, a retelling of each chapter, stylistic and lexical analysis of the text, an assessment of the presence of controversial content. All this information helps to decide whether the book will be published. As of November 2024, the tool works in the segment of non-fiction literature.
After a thousand received sammari, it is safe to say that the AI assistant has proven to be effective. Moreover, in the process of use, we discovered two additional scenarios that were not originally laid down - said Nadezhda Dubenyuk, executive director of the 5th edition of EKSMO - Sammari are also used to set a technical assignment for art editors when developing publications and preparing marketing materials for further promotion of the book. |
More and more Russian companies are striving to automate routine processes using generative artificial intelligence. We at Metamentor are pleased to share our expertise and experience, make companies more efficient, reduce the risk of human error, and possibly revolutionize the publishing business, said Matvei Pak, CEO and founder of Metamentor. |
