2024: Launch of the Walking Robots program
RTU MIREA on November 27, 2024 announced the opening of the Walking Robots retraining program. Now university students can get an additional one - ITeducation on the basis of humanoid. robots Equipping the laboratory with nine robots and four manipulator hands completed the project - Robort the official distributor mobile c. robotics Russia
The university has an advanced educational infrastructure to prepare IT specialties, including robotics and AI work. Now the material and technical base of the university has been strengthened - 9 anthropomorphic robots Unitree H1 and 4 manipulator arms for them are used in training and research projects. This is a special educational arsenal in Russia, distinguished by its innovation and scale.
The laboratory was equipped with the Robort project. Its specialists also advised university employees on the functionality of the devices and the peculiarities of their operation.
We live in an age of rapid change in technology, and the challenge for our university is to be at the forefront of these transformations. Based on experience and strong educational infrastructure, we strive to train specialists who can not only adapt to new challenges, but also shape the future. The collaboration with the Robort project is an important step in the development of our laboratory, which is now equipped with nine anthropomorphic Unitree H1 platforms and four manipulator hands. Our program will allow students to master robotics at a new level. We are confident that such practical skills will help our graduates become the most popular specialists in the labor market, - said Stanislav Kudzh, rector of RTU MIREA. |
University students and researchers in Informatics and Computing and Mechatronics and Robotics work with humanoid robots. The first contact with the technology begins with the second year. Students learn the design of humanoid robots, the principles of their movement and kinematic schemes, hone their programming skills. In 2024, more than 250 students will undergo training using robots. In 2025, their application in educational programs will be expanded.
The humanoid robot is the pinnacle of robotics development today. Its use in education gives huge advantages. Students program each of the 19 robot motors and thus create the right movements with human bionics. As a result, the humanoid can be used in logistics or in production. By working with robots, students are becoming more valuable specialists. After receiving a diploma, they can count on a middle level position with an income 2-2.5 times higher than graduates without training on such a base, - said Ilya Kainov, project manager at Robort. |
The second vector of the use of RTU MIREA robots is in research projects. The university organizes both its own R&D and in cooperation with business. These studies are focused on the study of the principles of anthropomorphic systems, their functionality, and the possibility of application in technological processes.
We are proud of our educational infrastructure and strive to be the first in equipping educational and scientific activities with a material and technical base. The opening of the Walking Robots program and the inclusion of anthropomorphic platforms in training marks a serious step in the training of experienced specialized specialists and the development of domestic robotics, "said Shamil Magomedov, director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence RTU MIREA. |
The choice of the Unitree H1 platform for equipping the RTU MIREA laboratory is due to the best price, reliability and functionality of the devices, as well as the ability to teach students programming on a full version. OS Linux The cost of equipping the laboratory with robotic platforms and manipulator hands amounted to 122 million rubles.
