2024: Construction of Russia's first Iranian household chemicals plant in Astrakhan Oblast
In the Astrakhan region, the first plant of the Iranian company Golrang Industrial Group for the production of detergents was built in Russia. This became known in early December 2024. The plant was built in the special economic zone "Lotus" of the Astrakhan region. The company received regional state support for the purchase of equipment.
According to TASS, the Industry Development Fund of the Astrakhan Region has allocated a loan of ₽40 million to Roza LLC (the structure of the Iranian holding) on preferential terms for the purchase of industrial equipment.
Irina Kozheurova, director of the regional Industry Development Fund, said that about 200 jobs will be created at the enterprise for residents of the region.
Construction of the plant began in June 2021. According to the press service of the Lotus SEZ, the total investment in the project amounted to ₽360 million. The design capacity of the enterprise will exceed 9 million liters of products per year.
Golrang Industrial Group is the largest detergent producer in, Iran fully meeting the country's domestic needs. The company owns dozens of brands and exports products to more than 20 countries, including states CIS Arab countries.
The Regional Industrial Development Fund, founded by the Astrakhan Region, provides targeted loans at a rate of 1-5% per annum for up to 7 years in the amount of ₽500 thousand to ₽50 million for the implementation of new industrial projects.
With the assistance of the Regional Fund, regional enterprises can also receive loans from the Federal Industrial Development Fund in the amount of up to ₽200 million. Such support measures contribute to the development of the industrial potential of the region and the creation of new production facilities.[1]
