2024: Implementation of SearchInform FileAuditor
The Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant (hereinafter referred to as NZMU) has chosen the solutions of the Russian developer SearchInform to protect against information security threats. In 2023, the customer implemented the DLP system "SearchInform CIB," and in 2024 - the DCAP system "SearchInform FileAuditor." This was announced by SearchInform on December 10, 2024.
One of the tasks that the NSMU security service set when choosing a DLP system is to identify cases of illegal access or storage of sensitive information.
Our enterprise is gradually growing, and with it the needs for protecting the IT infrastructure are growing. As of December 2024, more than 160 contractors are involved in the implementation of the project of the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant, with which our employees interact daily. Therefore, it is important for us that the project documentation, personal data of our employees and employees of contractors remain safe. And CIB was chosen just for these purposes. The solution not only ensures the safety of sensitive data, helps in the investigation of incidents, but also allows you to control procurement procedures, objectively assess the effectiveness of third-party developers and compliance with regulations, "said Sergey Bozhkov, chief specialist of information security at NZMU. - When choosing a DLP system, we tested the products of several domestic developers, but CIB performed better than competitors in a number of parameters. The system is convenient to administer, it is easy for users to work with it, and did not require long training. |
CIB also implemented smart content locks for all control channels - users will not be able to transfer files and messages with confidential content. Flexible settings exclude that bans will slow down business processes. The interface on the agent will warn the user about an accidental violation and instill an information security culture.
One of the primary tasks for industrial enterprises is information security. The specifics may be different, but for analysis algorithms the industry is a very difficult industry, because the system must recognize not only confidential documents, but also "complex" types of data - images, drawings, diagrams, technical documentation. At the same time, some of the documents have already been published and are not confidential, while the other part is only in development and their leakage will harm the company. It is for such tasks, in addition to automated analysis, that we have connected the user mode, when the employee himself participates in security processes, because the protection system behaves openly with him, - notes Alexey Parfentiev, Deputy General Director for Innovation at SearchInform. |
Strengthening the protection of personal data and controlling file storage in the enterprise helps solve "SearchInform FileAuditor." The program creates shadow copies of critical files found on employees' PCs and saves the revision history of vulnerable documents.
Due to the growth of personnel, the plant has more design and internal documentation, so file storage began to contain a large number of duplicates. Conveniently, the SearchInform FileAuditor has a function for finding duplicate files - it helps us detect unaccounted copies of confidential data, which must be stored in specified places, "added Sergey Bozhkov. |
The NSMU plans to gradually increase the volume of implementation of SearchInform CIB, as well as test other products of the vendor - SearchInform SIEM - a system for monitoring and correlation of information security events.
