2024: RED Security MFA Implementation

The O'KEY hypermarket chain has completed a project to strengthen the protection of corporate accounts. The RED Security MFA service was chosen as the solution for multifactor authentication. It replaced the previously used competing solution and helped significantly increase the level of security of the company's data, as well as simplify the process of managing employee access to the company's IT systems. RED Security announced this on December 10, 2024.

O'KAY's retail network employs more than 14,000 people. Protecting corporate employee accounts is one of the key tasks in ensuring the company's cybersecurity, since over 80% of hacking attempts include attacks on user passwords. At the same time, O'KEY has a large staff and geographically distributed branches, the task of managing access to corporate systems creates a high burden on IT administrators.

When choosing a solution for multi-factor authentication, the management of the O'KEY hypermarket network drew attention to such parameters as flexibility of settings, implementation and scaling times, as well as ease of integration with other systems.

Plus RED Security MFA before competing solutions has become its flexibility and convenience for both administrators and other employees of the company. The administrator can detail the software and hardware token policies, determining the applicability of a particular type of authentication for a particular system up to the level of specific users. Through a multi-platform open stack of technologies, the service can easily be integrated with other enterprise systems, including single sign-on (SSO) technology. Employees can choose a method of multifactor authentication that is convenient for them from a wide list of options:, SMS call, message Telegram in or to, email software and hardware one-time (passwords OTP).

The RED Security MFA service can be connected in just a few days. It integrates with existing IT systems in the organization through standard authentication protocols and APIs, without requiring significant improvements. This makes it a convenient and quick solution for companies of all sizes.

RED Security MFA is based on domestic multi-factor authentication technology for corporate users. It provides companies with protection against hacking into the accounts of its employees, including attacks using automatic password brute force or social engineering. RED Security MFA helps to implement Zero Trust principles in the company that eliminate the possibility of unauthorized remote access of attackers to the company's information resources.

Multifactor authentication has already become a standard and necessary element of cybersecurity. Therefore, in this segment, the competitive advantage is not the technology itself, but the flexibility of its configuration, deep automation, ease of integration with solutions, complimentary multifactor authentication. And of course, the customer experience is of great importance. It is on these aspects that we focus on the development of the service, "said Vasily Ognev, head of multifactor authentication at RED Security.
