Elena Atlanova on December 9, 2024 was appointed to the post of General Director of OJSC Trading House TSUM. She replaced Tamara Pogromova, who headed the company for 21 years.
According to Kommersant, Elena Atlanova previously held the position of Secretary General of TSUM Trading House OJSC. Tamara Pogromova, who turned 77, decided to retire.
Alexey Vanchugov, Managing Partner of Vanchugov & Partners, said that for significant changes in management, in addition to changing the head, a rotation of the management team is necessary, information about which is not yet available.
Daria Anikina, partner of the consulting company Ward Howell, believes that personnel changes will not have a significant impact on business development, since other representatives of Mercury are responsible for the commercial strategy.
Moscow Central Department Store is part of the Mercury group, founded by Leonid Fridland and Leonid Strunin in 1994. The company also owns the elite village "Barvikha Luxury Village," the hotel "Barvikha Hotel & SPA," boutiques in Tretyakovsky Proezd and on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, as well as the House of Leningrad Trade in St. Petersburg.
Marina Malakhatko, Senior Director of CORE.XP, noted that the sanctions prohibiting the import of clothes and shoes into Russia more than €300 per unit of goods significantly affected the business of TSUM, but the company had a supply of goods for fourteen months.
According to Fashion Consulting Group, about 39% of luxury brands will not receive new collections due to restrictions on the import of luxury goods. Nikoliers partner Anna Nikandrova announced the appearance in TSUM of new international brands from Italy and Korea, which were not previously presented on the Russian market.[1]
