The Speech Technology Center Group has developed an AI solution for servicing transport facilities. The CST was announced on December 12, 2024. An assistant based on artificial intelligence allows PhosAgro specialists to fill out the results of inspection of cars by voice.

When introducing a mobile voice crawler developed by the CST, we noted the high quality of speech recognition, including specialized professional vocabulary, and most importantly, high-quality work in the complexity of river recognition of industrial noise. AI-solution more than five times reduces the time for transmitting information about technical inspections by optimizing processes at each stage, allows you to eliminate unnecessary movements of workers, create more comfortable working conditions for them. A mobile voice crawler was introduced at four PhosAgro enterprises and everywhere the solution turned out to be in great demand, said Denis Novikov, Deputy General Director of Apatit JSC (part of the PhosAgro group) for information technology.

According to the results of international competitions, Russian speech technologies demonstrate high results, including in a complex acoustic environment. It was they who became part of the mobile voice crawler for railway transport, where it is especially important to ensure work in noise. Voice input is a driver of development and one of the key interfaces of interaction, so we strive to use our technologies, AI solutions and expertise to scale voice input to all new industries, noted Dmitry Dyrmovsky, CEO of the CST Group of Companies.

When preparing the trains, PhosAgro specialists inspect the cars for compliance with the requirements of a number of technical parameters and carefully record all the identified comments for elimination. Previously identified comments were recorded manually. The inspector walked along the train with a lantern, tools, postponed them and made notes, working in any weather at different times of the day. Darkness, rain, snow, critical air temperatures, dust, glare of the sun - everything complicated the work. The recorded data then had to be transferred to the electronic system, which required a visit to the control room and lost time to print the text manually. After these procedures, the dispatcher saw the information and could arrange the admission of the composition. All these actions took a lot of time and effort, while accuracy suffered.

With the implementation of the solution, the inspector uses a headset, tablet and his own voice. The system recognizes comments and allows you to automatically fill out the report even in conditions of unstable communication and difficult weather conditions. The key quality of the AI solution is that specialists completely free their hands: during the inspection, the tablet may be in the bag. In this case, to verify the entered data, the CST speech synthesis technology is used, which allows you to voice what the crawler said and can give a signal if the entered parameters deviate from the norms. The data is automatically displayed in the electronic system and is available to the manager.
