2025: Version 1.7.0 with support for configuring object life cycles

The company YADRO introduced an update for the object storage systems TATLIN.OBJECT. Key changes are aimed at improving operational efficiency, automating storage processes and expanding system use cases in. To IT infrastructure The company announced on April 17, 2025.

One of the key changes in version 1.7.0 is support for configuring object life cycles (S3 Lifecycles). This solution allows companies to automate data management processes and optimize storage costs - for example, remove outdated or incomplete parts of composite downloads after the specified retention period.

Additionally, support for the PATCH method for partial object modification is implemented. Thanks to this, business can significantly reduce costs when working with large amounts of data - you can now edit certain parts of multi-gigabyte files without completely downloading them to the server. It also allows you to integrate TATLIN.OBJECT with Kubernetes: thanks to the support of PATCH and the CSI driver, the system can be used as a Persistent Volumes store in cloud and container environments.

Also in version 1.7.0, support for two-factor authentication for system management interfaces is implemented in order to increase the level of security of corporate data.

We develop all our updates in close contact with customers and based on their real-world tasks and scenarios to make data management even easier, safer and more efficient. In the upcoming releases, we plan to implement support for hosting static websites on TATLIN.OBJECT, optimize service procedures for working with drives and provide customers with the opportunity to independently update the system firmware, "said Maxim Lugansky, leading product manager YADRO.

2024: Tatlin.Object 1.6.0 with Erasure Coding support

YADRO has released an update for TATLIN.OBJECT object storage software with enhanced functionality that improves storage efficiency and fault tolerance. The company announced this on December 13, 2024.

In version 1.6.0, TATLIN.OBJECT supports Erasure Coding (EU) redundant coding technology. The use of this technology helps to avoid multiple increases in the amount of stored data, as is the case with replication in traditional file storage. This form of information dispersal algorithm allows you to distribute data across several storage devices: instead of writing data to the entire storage, it is divided into smaller fragments, which are then used to restore the original data if necessary. At the same time, the size of the required copies is reduced, the usable capacity is significantly increased and a given level of fault tolerance is provided.

Erasure Coding technology enables more efficient use of TATLIN.OBJECT storage capacity by reducing redundant copies and improving site-to-site replication. This increases the fault tolerance and performance of the system, which allows you to expand the scope of the TATLIN.OBJECT platform and meet the expectations of the most demanding corporate clients, - said Pavel Egorov, Product Director of YADRO.

The updated release also made it easier to manage access to DSS resources with an improved Identity and Access Control (IAM) management system. Flexible configuration of authentication policies ensures user authorization and protects sensitive data from unauthorized access.
