• Unlimited number of the coordinate systems on card layers. An opportunity to mix and combine data and circuits from the different coordinate systems gives to the user amazing flexibility and saving of time during creation of cards.
• Support of 64-bit Windows allows to use almost unlimited amount of RAM that accelerates work with data bulks and allows to get rid of hangups.
• Immediate viewing editions. Editing diagrams in the Surfer program never was such simple, as in the new version with her new manager of properties. Several mouse clicks it is possible to configure completely the card and to see changes on the card in real time.
• Creation of smooth curved lines. The new spline curve tool will allow the user to add smooth lines to the diagram of Surfer.
• Dynamic digitization. Now in need of adding of values of coordinates of Z in some points of the card it is possible to digitize these points, the digitized points show X, Y and Z values on the contour map.
• The new Overlay Maps command allows to select some of a set of layers of cards and mouse click to send them to high layers.
• Maximum support of data. Import and export to all popular formats is possible. New formats of import include Access 2007, ACCDB import and support of database requests. New formats of export include Google Earth KML and KMZ.
• Preserving of functions of grids. Surfer automatically saves the last 10 functions of grids so there is no need to enter them repeatedly.
• Export of a circuit in text 3D - files. Now it is possible to select necessary data from the contour map and to export planimetric lines to XYZ the text file of data.
• The improved module Grid Math became more powerful and flexible. Now it is possible to use an unlimited number of files in Grid Math, but not two as earlier. Besides, there is an option to appoint to empty nodes of a grid of value at the discretion of the user.
• Possibility of preserving of a grid and data from files of cards. If there is a file of the card of the Surfer program, but there are no related data and grids, then new Surfer can take this information directly from the file of the card.
• Possibility of preserving of information on a coordinate system for reuse. The new version of Surfer allows the user to define a coordinate system, the data file and the file of a grid once, and this information to be saved for future reuse.
