Rostelecom will construct VPN network for TGC-2

The central branch of Rostelecom signed the contract with Territorial generating company No. 2 (TGC-2) on creation of a corporate virtual private network (VPN) and organization on its base of trunk inter-chip digital links.

Rostelecom will include in the created VPN network Head departments TGC-2 in Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kostroma and executive office in Yaroslavl. The amount of the two-year contract will exceed 9.7 million rubles.

The VPN technology allows to integrate geographically distributed divisions of the organization in the single protected network with a full range of telecommunication services – corporate telephone communication, data transmission systems, a video conferencing, etc. – with guaranteed high degree of reliability and information security.

According to the vice president - the director of the Central branch of Rostelecom Viacheslav Smith, "the number of the organizations, both from private business, and from the government institutions selecting Rostelecom as the supplier of VPN solutions promptly grows. It is the certificate of the growing trust level to our company from clients and partners".
