2024: Obtaining a certificate of the FSB of Russia

InfoTeCS announces the receipt of a certificate from the FSB of Russia for the ViPNet hardware and software complex Quantum Network Distribution Node (ViPNet RUKS). The company announced this on December 28, 2024.

The technology uses single photons to exchange encryption keys, whose states change when an attempt is made to hack, making them technically unbreakable. Keys are transmitted via fiber-optic or satellite communication networks.

Certificate No. СФ/124-5088 of 27.12.2024 certifies that PAC ViPNet RUKS (SOFTWARE version 1.0.1) meets the requirements for cryptographic information protection tools designed to protect information that does not contain information constituting a state secret of class KS3, as well as temporary requirements for quantum cryptographic systems for generating and distributing keys for cryptographic information protection tools designed to protect information that does not contain information constituting a state secret of class CS. The certificate is valid until 27.12.2027.

ViPNet RUKS is part of the quantum cryptographic system for generating and distributing keys ViPNet QTS and is a distribution node of a quantum network that provides key generation between extended (up to 100 km) sections of a quantum network.

Quantum Cryptographic Key Generation and Distribution System ViPNet Quantum Trusted System (ViPNet QTS) provides means of cryptographic protection of information in automatic mode with quantum-protected keys.

SMARTS Quanttelecom CEO Aleksei Alekseev said the company faces the task of expanding the line of certified devices and optimizing their weight and size characteristics to ensure availability in a mass implementation.

"Theft of data transmitted through open and closed communication channels poses a danger to many categories of secrets - state, government, military, commercial, medical and banking," said Ruslan Yunusov, adviser to the general director of Rosatom, co-founder of the Russian Quantum Center.
