2025: Medium Sensor Presentation to Monitor Physical Parameters of Gas-Air Media Samples According to ES Standards
The Specialized Research Institute of Instrument Engineering (SNIIP) has created a medium sensor to monitor the physical parameters of gas-air samples in accordance with ESG standards. The company announced this on January 16, 2025.
The device is called DS-01R, it is intended for operation at facilities atomic power with installations, as well as at enterprises related to the processing and use of radioactive materials. The tested development of SNIIP JSC (part of the division APCS Electrical equipment and state corporation) Rosatom can be used both as part of automated radiation monitoring systems (ARMS) and autonomously if there are storage and processing devices at the facility. data
The peculiarity of the DS-01R lies in the use of environmentally friendly technologies. For the first time, components complying with the RoHS directive limiting the content of harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as lead-free soldering technology, were used in the design. Laboratory tests confirmed the compliance of the sensor with all requirements for resistance to external influences and its key technical characteristics as an element of measuring channels of radiation control, - said Vladimir Kishev, head of the laboratory of radioactive media detection devices of the department of radiation control systems of SNIIP JSC. |
Our task is not only to ensure the safety of nuclear technologies, but also to create equipment that meets high environmental standards. We plan to extend this approach to the entire ARMS product line, which will increase the share of green products in total revenue to 87% by 2030. This even exceeds the ESG transformation target set by the state corporation Rosatom, - said Andrei Gordeev, head of the Center for Analytics and Advanced Development of SNIP JSC. |
The development and implementation of green technologies in Rosatom's products confirms the state corporation's commitment to global sustainable development goals and emphasizes its role as a leader in the nuclear industry, creating innovative solutions in accordance with world ESG standards.
