2024: Automation of accounting for goods in trade

On January 17, 2025, Scanport announced the implementation of a project to automate the accounting of goods for the trading company YakutiaBig Trade.

The main activities of TK Big Trade are related to the sale of snacks and confectionery. The project required automation of the customer's warehouses and stores.

About the Client

TK Big Trade has existed on the market for 17 years. It has warehouses with a total area of ​ ​ more than 4,500 square meters. m and a retail network consisting of 14 near-home stores called "Brighter." In 2020, the company launched the online store "Бонусмаркет.рф" and its own production of meat semi-finished products, ready-made dishes, opened a workshop for the manufacture of salads and pastries.

TK Big Trade sells its goods in stationary outlets, as well as through delivery. It has its own fleet with 11 units of cargo equipment. It delivers products over long distances with the help of partner transport companies. It provides products to the entire southern part of Yakutia. The company has an assortment of about 18,000 items. There are more than 200 employees on staff.

Project objectives

The customer is constantly working to improve the quality of services and expand the sales area. At some point, the available tools for automating business processes were not enough. Due to the high flow of goods, more effective solutions for managing trade and warehouse logistics were needed.

Project Description

To solve the tasks, Scanport specialists proposed to implement the following at the client's enterprise:

• Mindeo M40 data collection terminal;
• Shipping documentation software - DataMobile.

The device has a storage capacity of 4/64 GB (RAM/flash), which is enough for processing a large assortment. The shipping documentation is equipped with keyboard a unit and is reliably protected from dust and moisture (according to IP68 class). It can be used even in raw and dusty warehouses. Thanks to support 4G with a mobile terminal, you can work in places where there is no, Wi-Fi which is suitable for the delivery service.

The DataMobile software product is designed for mobile automation of goods accounting. With it, shipping documentation quickly identifies products by bar codes and provides communication with the accounting system. Software is a ready-made solution for 1C. No additional drivers are required for integration.

The customer eventually purchased:

• 10 Mindeo M40 shipping documentations;
• mobile software DataMobile version Standard Pro - with support for offline exchange with a sales system;
• 10 Lifetime software licenses.

Lifetime's license is for life. Binds to the terminal ID and is not used on other devices. They also integrated mobile application into a typical customer accounting system. Setup ON and training of employees was not required.

It took 10 days to implement automation.

Results

Thanks to the automation of goods accounting using the Mindeo M40 shipping documentation and the DataMobile program, our client's company is now in full order: easier acceptance and other routine processes in warehouses; reduced time to solve business problems: inventory, movement and acceptance of goods are fast; The number of errors in warehouse and trading operations has decreased. According to the customer's feedback, automation has improved the quality of work. In the near future, TK Big Trade plans to automate the collection of orders. ____________________________
