Platon Pobegailo graduated from the M. S. Shchepkin Higher Theater School at the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia in 2022. After that, he came to work at the St. Petersburg Comedy Theater named after N.P. Akimov.

2025: Telephone scammers lured 465 thousand rubles

On January 22, 2025, it became known that theater actor Plato Pobegailo was the victim of telephone scammers. The attackers lured almost half a million rubles from him.

According to the Izvestia newspaper, referring to information received from informed sources, the scammers contacted Pobegailo on January 15, 2025. An unknown person notified the actor that he allegedly has debts for paying for training and may have problems closing the session. At the same time, the attacker offered to pay off the debt by transferring funds to these accounts.

Over the next five days, the 23-year-old actor made several money transfers to different accounts. In total, Pobegailo sent 465 thousand rubles to the attackers. As of the end of January 2025, law enforcement agencies are checking the fact of fraud.

At the end of January 2025, the actor was involved in 14 productions, including "Dunno and His Friends," "Crazy Day, or the Marriage of Figaro," "The Wizard of the Emerald City," "The History of Flower Island," "Malysh and Carlson," etc.^[1]
