2025: Presentation of "smart" assistant "Inna
Innostage is developing a "smart" assistant to Inna to investigate incidents and strengthen companies' cyber defenses. The company announced this on January 24, 2025.
The AI assistant will take on up to 40% of the work of the SOC (Security Operation Center) analyst and help strengthen companies' cyber defense through accurate recommendations for optimizing the information security architecture.
Every day, specialists from monitoring centers face a large number of security events of the same type. At the same time, the complexity of attacks increases, but there are not enough hands - the shortage of IT and information security specialists remains high. Therefore, we decided to share with the market our extensive experience in countering cyber attacks, "said Anna Oleinikova, Director of Product Development at Innostage. |
To begin with, the system will be tested inside Innostage. It will be introduced into the work of the cyber threat response center Innostage SOC CyberART.
The solution is based on machine learning technologies. Inna's virtual assistant is a narrow AI ("narrow" AI) class solution that performs a set of typical, routine operations of SOC employees, but does so much faster. It collects all the necessary information to investigate incidents in two minutes, significantly saving SOC analyst time. Based on the real combat experience of the cyber threat center Innostage SOC CyberART, the copilot system offers an incident response plan.
At the same time, she chooses the most successful solution based on hundreds of such cases. Inna can automatically enter documentation - fills out cards and certificates, sets tasks in related departments. This saves SOC specialists 2-3 hours of working time. In addition, the virtual assistant reduces the number of false positive incidents by 30% and recommends effective requests to SIEM to search for events in the vicinity of the incident, explains the meaning of system commands and is able to write code. But the most valuable thing is that based on historical analysis, the company gives recommendations on how to quickly increase the level of security according to the Pareto principle (20% of efforts - 80% of the result).
Innostage believes that the solution will help different companies reduce the negative impact of personnel hunger and improve the level of qualifications of cybersecurity employees. It will also speed up the collection of data necessary to investigate incidents, give recommendations for responding to them, automatically fill out documents and analyze the security of the company.
