Metalloinvest has switched to the Indeed Privileged Access Manager (Indeed PAM) software package to control the access of privileged users in exchange for a foreign solution that has lost support. The implementation was implemented by a specialized information security integrator iTPROTECT with the support of Indid. ITProtect announced this on January 27, 2025.

As a result of the project, Metalloinvest organized access control and automated the connection of privileged users (in particular, IT and information security administrators) to the company's IT resources, reduced the time for investigating incidents and significantly reduced the risks of their occurrence.

The solution allows you to fully log the actions of IT specialists and use a single database, passwords reducing the likelihood of accidental compromise. As of January 2025, Indeed PAM provides Metalloinvest with full control over the privileged access of employees and contractors with advanced access rights to the corporate network and critical infrastructure components. integration PAM Special connectors have been developed for the iTPROTECT team with part of the target systems.

Attacks through contractors and internal "intruders" are the most relevant in recent years. As part of the implementation of the information security strategy using the PAM system, the company ensured the protection of both internal corporate systems and control interfaces of protective equipment and segments of CII, which is a mandatory requirement under the current legislation.
