2025: Product Announcement
On January 23, 2025, Vantis Vascular announced the release of the integrated CrossFAST delivery system designed to quickly install cardiac stents. The solution eliminates the need for long and risky operations.
CrossFAST is claimed to be the first and only advanced delivery system specifically designed for complex coronary and peripheral interventions. Stenting of coronary arteries makes it possible to restore blood flow in arteries of heart by installation in place of stent narrowing - special structure for maintaining wall of affected vessel and preservation of its lumen diameter.
Complex high-risk coronary intervention procedures are often performed in patients with multiple comorbidities and complex anatomy. This makes it seriously difficult to install stents. CrossFAST is said to avoid problems that may occur with other solutions, including limited ability to reach target areas and the risk of vascular injury or damage to previously installed stents. CrossFAST is powered by DuoPRO technology, a new mechanism that connects a microcatheter to an external catheter, allowing the system to operate as a unit for improved push-through and efficient navigation.
The results of the initial clinical use of the CrossFAST system demonstrated 100 percent success rate of procedures with fast and reliable stent delivery to the target site and successful installation. At the same time, no complications were recorded in patients after the intervention. The product has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).[1]
