On January 22, 2025, Logitech announced the Spot device - a "smart stone" designed to control the presence of people in office premises. In addition, the gadget can be used to assess working conditions.

The fully wireless device can be fixed anywhere in the room. To track the presence and movements of employees, a special radar operating in the millimeter band is used. The data being collected is said to be able to help optimize the use of office space, which in turn will help reduce energy consumption.

The Logitech Spot measures 134 × 98 × 50 mm and weighs about 300 grams along with the battery. The device is able to determine the presence of people at a distance of up to 8 m. The novelty can be used not only in office spaces, but also in smart homes, for example, for automatic microclimate control.^[1]
